Food To Try At Magic Kingdom

magic kingdom, walt disney world

Magic Kingdom is one of the best places in Disney World to wander around and explore. It’s not confusing, but it has options. With this type of playground you might want to spend your day indulging in snacks as you go, rather than taking time out for a proper meal. Hey, you’re on vacation! Here are some Magic Kingdom food items you must try as you have your fun in the park.

Casey’s Corner Chili Dog

The first thing you have to try is a hot dog at Casey’s Corner. It’s not just a Disney classic, it’s an American classic. The Casey’s Corner experience embodies the quintessential Main Street USA vibe and it’s the best place for a midday rest or a pause before you run off to enjoy the day’s adventures. Whether you stick around for some hand scooped ice cream across the street, Casey’s Corner is a must do at some point during your Magic Kingdom visit.

Gaston’s Tavern Cinnamon Roll

New to the back of Fantasyland there is a beautiful little square that looks straight out of Beauty and the Beast. There is even a fountain depicting Gaston and LeFou with pints of beer. Gaston’s Tavern is a little counter service bakery where you can pick up a few refreshments including the famous LeFou’s Brew, which is a fruity, non alcoholic beverage with mango foam. The Magic Kingdom food item you have to try here is the cinnamon roll. Its huge, but not too big to enjoy alone. The icing is maple, and the flavor is not so sweet that you can’t devour the whole thing.

Golden Oak Outpost Chili Queso Fries

Right where Adventureland meets Frontierland after Pirate Plaza, there is a little shack called Golden Oak Outpost. This is a counter service location known to have a frequently changing menu. There is always something great to pick up here, especially during seasonal events like Halloween or Christmas. On any normal day, you can get the Chili Queso fries, which is chili and white queso labeled onto a pile of crispy golden waffle fries.

Friar’s Nook Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots

Another perfect snacking spot in Fantasyland is the Friar’s Nook. A while ago, there was a revamped menu offering a variety of loaded tots. Those offerings have since gone, except one victorious version of the dish still remains. The popular Buffalo Chicken Tots are so satisfying with such a classic flavor profile, you have to take a break from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to indulge in this delicious snack.

The Lunching Pad Mickey Celebration Strawberry Doughnut

Finally, in the heart of Tomorrowland, there are plenty of places to stop for sweets and treats as you round the corner and head either toward Space Mountain, or the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. You may chuckle as the sign for the Lunching Pad catches your eye and stop to look at the menu. This convenient counter service location is awesome for one reason right now. The Mickey Celebration Strawberry Doughnut. Now, not all donuts are awesome but this one is a winner, and it’s got an irresistible mickey shape to boot. Try not snapping an Instagram photo!
